Experience: 2 to 4 years experience as a merchandiser only Candidates from Nirmala Niketan, Sasmira, NIFT or equivalent colleges may apply. If you have been keen to work for a brand that believes in doing good & work with grassroots communities to make beautiful and ethical merchandise for the tourism sector, have an eye for searching unique craft clusters in India and believes in environmentally sustainable practices? Then you're the one we looking for! Looking to on-board a Merchandiser for lifestyle products that are made by artisans and craftsmen of rural India. Responsibilities
- to plan and implement various merchandising strategies
- to collaborate and source from vendors and handicraft artisans and build long lasting relationships with them.
- Understanding our market requirement, monitoring inventory
- Calculating the consumption of raw material to maximize profits, monitoring the sourcing of material for production
- Ensuring quality of products made by artisans
- Ensuring product packaging & displays appeal to patrons
- Forecasting the production of different product categories
- Vendor negotiations and raising purchase orders
- The candidate is expected to report & analyze the magnitude of social impact we as an organization can make by recording number of artisans working with us, the stipends being distributed and recruiting new artisans at the centers on a monthly basis
- Plan and handle training & intervention programs where we travel to meet our artisans and provide skill enhancement training sessions.
