- Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package (Salary range to be determined based on experience) Job Summary Moris Media is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team and bring our moCal brand to life through captivating videos. In this role, you'll be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content to be used across our marketing channels. If you have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for editing with impact, we want to connect with you! Primary Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Assemble raw footage, select the best takes, create seamless transitions, and utilize editing techniques to shape compelling narratives and maintain audience engagement.
- Creative Storytelling: Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and execute video projects that align with moCal's brand voice, marketing campaigns, and target audience.
- Audio & Music Integration: Incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the emotional impact and overall production value of videos.
- Color Correction & Grading: Adjust color balance, exposure, and apply stylized color grading to establish mood and consistency across video assets.
- Motion Graphics & Animation: Utilize motion graphics or basic animation to add visual interest, emphasize key information, and enhance brand storytelling.
- Subtitles and Captions: Add accurate subtitles or captions for accessibility and increased social media viewership.
- Revisions & Feedback: Incorporate feedback from stakeholders, make necessary revisions, and ensure final videos meet quality standards and project goals.
- Project Management: Manage video editing timelines, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear communication with project teams to meet deadlines.
- 2-7 Years: Proven experience as a video editor, demonstrating a strong portfolio of work across various video formats (promotional videos, social media content, etc.).
- Required:
- Mastery of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Experience with audio editing, color correction, and basic motion graphics.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus.
- Experience in video production (shooting or directing) is beneficial.
- Creativity & Storytelling: Natural ability to translate ideas into captivating visual narratives that resonate with the viewer.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of professional video editing software and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on quality and consistency, ensuring flawless edits.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working on diverse video projects and adjusting editing styles to suit varied content goals.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with creative teams and stakeholders.
