Senior Site Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Site Infrastructure Engineer will be a key member of the Consultant Project Management Team and will report to the Infrastructure Manager. The purpose of this position is to undertake Consultant Site Supervision Engineer responsibilities during execution of the Infrastructure Works in conformance to design, execution, safety, programme and end product quality and performance in conformance with the Contract. The Infrastructure Manager will allocate disciplines based on project program and staffing, therefore responsibilities and tasks will vary undertaking combination of some of following disciplines; Stormwater drainage, Sanitary drainage, Roads and Paving, Portable water pipelines, irrigation water pipelines, telecoms civil and cabling works, civil works for other infrastructure related elements. Key Responsibilities: The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Infrastructure Manager RE to monitor the progress, execution and quality of work and materials to ensure finished Infrastructure works meets the project requirements and specification. Key responsibilities include: • Liaise with Construction Management Team to develop working designs, details and specification, from the approved detail designs. • Review shop/working drawings and material submittals for compliance with project documents • Review, inspect and undertake verification works installed to ensure quality work for compliance with project documents • Respond to Contractor queries and review construction issue drawings • Maintain project administrative systems. • Report on environmental and safety issues arising from work operations • Coordinate information between the design office, contractor and client • Ensuring all relevant BH staff are informed of project and client matters. • Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client’s best interests and that BH policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice etc. • Commitment to CPD and self learning / development Job Requirements Qualifications: • Chartered Engineer with a relevant institution (e.g. MICE)• BEng & MSc or MEng qualified in a relevant engineeering subject(s)• Significant experience of design and site supervision of infrastructure engineering on major developments, preferably with Middle East project experience. • Experience of directly liaising with Clients, Contractors and other Consultants.
