To support growth, Aviva have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Advisor to join our Pensions & Investments team in our Galway office. This role offers a hybrid working model meaning you work for home and the office. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the team offering financial advice to clients , taking responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship & providing support for colleagues . The role involve s providing professional financial advice to customers & businesses on their financial needs, working to fully understand their financial situation and requirements. This is achieved through a blend of remote & in person guidance, with advice tailored to meet the customers needs . You will proactively manage an existing customer base , establish and develop relationships with our clients ensuring they are receiving the benefit of the Aviva advice process with adherence to Aviva’s compliance standards. You, as part of the team, will be responsible for the achievement of challenging performance targets, developing customer relationships with new and existing customers and ensuring the best possible customer outcomes. You must have valid Irish/EU/UK work rights to be considered for this position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional best advice in developing clear financial plans for new and existing customers, while delivering superior customer satisfaction.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to achieve required targets and standards , ensuring the best possible customer outcomes .
  • Ensure all client dealings are recorded in a clear concise manner .
  • Proactively protect, maintain and develop our existing Client book.
  • Communicate complex financial matters to customers in simple & clear terms.
  • Adhere to appropriate risk management procedures to control, monitor and report on business activities where required .
  • Ensure compliance with Aviva policies as well as all regulatory, professional and legal requirements.
  • Keep up to date with all changes in the commercial environment and completes Continual Professional Development (CPD) on an on-going basis
Skills and Experience:
  • QFA Qualification with working experience in financial advice area.
  • Proven track record in client relationships & financial advice.
  • Experience in a customer facing role with a h igh level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive & confidential situations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure excellent client service and expedient business processing .
  • Detailed knowledge & practical knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for Irish Financial Advice institutions
  • Keep up to date with all changes in the commercial & regulatory environment.
  • Completes Continual Professional Development (CPD) on an ongoing basis.
  • Competent in all Microsoft office packages including Word and Excel.
