Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, Weekends - Every Other Weekend Scheduled Hours: Overnight (11P- 7A) Every other weekend, rotating holidays, coverage of other shifts as needed Shift: 3 - Night Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America) Hours: 32 This position may have a signing bonus available a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.

Your talent acquisition consultant will discuss with you the details as well as your eligibility for the sign on bonus during the recruitment process. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, performs nonsterile compounding, delivers medications and is responsible for refilling and loading of medications into automated dispensing machines (ADMs). Performs other medication related tasks such as packaging, preparation of all forms of medications, record keeping, and all aspects of drug distribution. Assists in the transportation and handling of controlled substances and all required documentation as related to their delivery. Major Responsibilities:
  • Complies with all state and federal standards for compounding medications.
  • Proficient with pharmacy technology and equipment. Capable of troubleshooting minor technical problems and knows who to reach out to when escalation is needed to resolve.
  • Prepares and packages all forms of medications and compounds as needed. Repackage all bulk medications into unit of use containers, ensure that items are scannable.
  • Maintains required documentation in accordance with regulatory and hospital requirements.
  • Conducts medication room inspections in assigned patient care area in accordance with regulatory requirements. Removes outdated medications and supplies and provides all needed follow up actions.
  • Assembles drugs in an accurate and efficient manner, scanning items from the different warehouse locations using the department’s inventory managements system.
Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy
  • Certified by one of the national governing bodies such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board PTCB, or the National Healthcareer Association ExCPT
Experience/Skills: Required:
  • Position requires proficiency in math and, knowledge and ability to use a computer.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy, efficiency, and dependability.
  • Positive work ethic, motivated and professional demeanor to promote teamwork in the department.
Preferred:
  • Pharmacy work experience within the past year.
