Working Location: Jurong Island Job Description Inst & Control Commissioning Eng shall be capable of performing the following: · Attend the DCS FAT, identify discrepancies and request vendor to make all corrections prior to shipping to minimise site corrective action. · Coordinate with DCS vendor initial checks and inspections after handover to commissioning to ensure the DCS and associated network cabling, remote I/O panels, CCR monitors and printers etc. are properly installed prior to power up and control software download. · Coordinate and monitor the DCS initial power up and SAT with the vendor. · Manage the DCS loop shooting, and function checks correcting logic, graphics, alarm legends as necessary. · Maintain ‘Logic Forcing Log’ during the commissioning phase. · Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions that arise during the commissioning process. Notify vendor for corrective action, parts or site technical support. · Maintain hardware and software for distributed control system. · Configuring distributed control system logic to achieve process control in line with the system control philosophy. · Verify mapping between other vendor PLC / Controls systems such as Gas Turbine / Steam Turbine controls systems. · Complete pre-commissioning documentation, including dry loop and wet loop test records. · Supervising and coordinate contractors performing work on DCS post system handover to commissioning. · Read & understand the project specification with regards to the DCS and ensure installation complies with the technical specification and report any errors to the Project Engineer. · Participate in commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Commissioning Manager. · Shall participate in system completion walkdown of all systems prior to handover from Construction to the Commissioning department. · Support and provide all necessary Data and DCS trends during Plant Performance testing. Commissioning Engineer Soft Skills · Able to speak, read and write in English. · Strong organizational skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Excellent communication skills. · High attention to detail. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualification & Experience · 5-10 years of experience. · Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate engineering or sciences discipline from a four-year accredited college or university. · Experience on commissioning of Combined Cycle Power Projects is desirable but not a pre-requisite for the position. · In depth knowledge of Distributed Control Systems. · Ability to read and interpret DCS logic diagrams. · Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and instrument systems. · Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. · Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations.
