itContracting are seeking applicants for a Business Analyst to join the team of theirclient. Location:Longford(1 day a week onsite) Job Type: Day rate contract . Requirements: Essential

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Business Design and System Analysis roles.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience modelling business processes as well as planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working at a senior level within Enterprise, ICT and Business Architecture teams.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Project management in ICT related projects.
Desired
  • Leads the review and analysis of the organisation’s business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements.
  • Proven track record of delivery within pre agreed timeframes and ability to bring new technologies and processes to the business.
  • Proven ability to produce detailed written reports on analytic work for both technical and non-technical groups, and ability to present work in a clear way across all levels of the business.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, ITIL, TOAD for Oracle , Cognos 11 and Tableau
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the initial scoping, design, planning and delivery of robust technical solutions from inception to project closure, and deliver within agreed tolerances of scope, time, budget, quality and risk, using business process analysis and PRINCE2 project management methodology.
  • Work pro-actively with senior management, Business owners, end users and appropriate key stakeholders, to elicit high, medium and low-level business requirements for new projects and Change requests.
  • To develop & maintain high quality project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, project status reports and risk logs.
  • Responsible for Change Control Management and Risk Management
  • Participate in system testing and defect/issue resolution (as required).
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with the ICT software development team members on proof of concept studies, architecture design and detailed design.
  • Conduct project reviews to ensure projects are formally closed, reviewed and that lessons learned are captured and factored into subsequent projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional ICT resources and business owners to establish the technical vision across all systems.
  • Accept, diagnose and resolve 2nd level service requests, to maintain business continuity of all
  • Provide weekly progress reports on work assigned.
  • Assisting business areas to analyse problems and define the problem to those who provide a solution.
  • Act as a bridge between IT and business teams to proactively discuss any concerns, issues, solutions or to get any clarifications when a new solution is being developed.
  • Possess a strong technology background across multiple technologies, in particular .NET software development technologies, Oracle DB, PL/SQL and BI reporting (Cognos)
