Head of Finance

Excellent opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic finance executive to join the fast-growing finance function of a high-profile Irish services company during an exciting time in its development. Reporting to the CFO, role will involve:

• Financial Reporting – supervising the delivery of all financial reporting activities for the Group including annual returns, profit & loss and balance sheet reports, annual accounts, tax returns, annual audit, local statutory reporting requirements
• Process improvement – enabling insightful management reporting, and KPI reporting (trends, metrics and financial reports, qualitative analysis and commentary), enabling faster decision making
• Management Reporting – Provision of management accounts and related reports to the senior management team and Board
• Operational Performance – Driving through margin improvement, cost reduction and increased profitability
• Budgeting & Forecasting – Playing a lead role in coordinating the annual budget, planning and forecasting
• Working capital management and cash-flow forecasting
• Expansion – working with the Group Finance Director on a range of exciting initiatives
• Leadership – developing, managing and further growing a first-rate large finance team comprising a Financial Controller, Cost Accountants, Financial Reporting Accountants and a transaction processing team

Requirements for this Role

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE, with a Big 4 training background
• Senior financial and management experience at Controller level minimum
• Strong academic track record, and strong technical accounting skills
• IT systems experience and IT Skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
