We invite you to bring your experience as a Senior/Principal Highways Engineer into play as you lead design packages and projects, engage with other disciplines, clients and site teams, and work collaboratively as part of an expanding and dynamic team. We have opportunities in both our Belfast and Dublin offices. You will join our Transportdepartment As our new Senior / Principal Engineer (depending on experience) you will be part of a dynamic Highways team in Ramboll based in Ireland. We are actively involved in a number of major highway projects including the A5 Western Transport Corridor, Active Travel and Urban Development project for NTA. We are also supporting delivery of exciting Smart Mobility / Active Travel design commissions nationally. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Design and project management,
  • Undertake, check and review design packages
  • Act as a highways technical lead on design tasks and packages
  • Undertake financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting / allocation and change control.
  • Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality, and training
  • Provide guidance, instruct, motivate, and manage staff
  • Establish relationships with individuals from other organisations, generate market intelligence and new business opportunities
  • Prepare bids and contract documentation

    • BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
    • Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer
    • Good working knowledge of highways design, DMRB, MCHW, DMURS, TII specifications (as relevant)
    • Good working experience working on NTA and/or DfI project control phases and requirements
    • Experienced in the use of industry standard software including AutoCAD, Civils 3D etc.
    • Good knowledge of BIM procedures
    • Experienced in project delivery including reports, drawings and specifications
    • Experience or knowledge of resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting and status reporting
