Innovation Senior Manager (BDO Ireland)

BDO Ireland is in search of a dynamic Senior Manager who is eager to embrace a fresh challenge within our creative and forward-looking Innovations Department. Based in BDO’s Dublin office, the Innovation Senior Manager will meet with Partners and senior members of the firm to gain an understanding as to how innovation tools can benefit them in driving efficiency and change in their business. This role will report directly to the Partner in charge and will come with the responsibility of driving BDO’s identification, implementation and use of technologies to drive efficiencies and positive work change. - Design and implement Innovation initiatives. These change projects may be process based, technology based or both.
- Ability to work as the “bridge” between the business and technology. Proven ability to translate business requirements into value-add solutions is a must.
- Support the Innovation team in the implementation of their annual programme of work.
- Some experience delivering discrete training i.e. resulting from a subset of the initiatives above.
- Ability to review processes formally using Lean Six Sigma best practices when required.
- Ability to manage projects formally using Prince2 or equivalent best practices when required.
- Mentor interns or team members on all of the above.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Professional relevant ICT or dual Business/ICT degree.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau or Qlik desirable.
- Six Sigma qualified.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to manage and review Innovation Interns work.
- Project management qualification (Prince2 or equivalent).
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated and capable of working independently.
