Samaritans is looking for a Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join their Donor Engagement team on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. This role raises vital funds for the future by organising marketing campaigns and managing key fundraising products to grow income from gifts in Wills and in memory giving. Why this role at Samaritans  You’ll build relationships with supporters in person and remotely, ranging from individual supporters to large scale campaigns, across different channels. Internally this role is called Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer. Our small team is friendly, ambitious and collaborative. You’ll get to learn what legacy and in-memory is all about, as part of a supportive team. •12 month fixed term contract •Full time (35 hours) hours or Part time (a minimum of 28 hours) considered •Happy to discuss work pattern at interview •Hybrid, linked to our Ewell (Surrey) office. Due to the requirements of the role, you’ll need to work in the office around 2 times per month. •We are passionate about flexible working, talk to us about your preferences. Skills and experience you’ll bring  We’d welcome applications from candidates either in or outside of the charity sector. There are many other roles with great transferable skills for example around managing marketing campaigns, fundraising products, or other customer facing roles. •Great organisational skills which will help you to manage projects and develop supporter journeys. •Relationship building skills which will help supporters to feel connected to our cause, and inspired to support Samaritans. •Interpersonal skills for working well with colleagues, suppliers and volunteers. •Data analysis skills so that you can assess and report on how activities are performing, and optimise your approaches. •Knowledge of gifts in wills and in-memory giving (or a willingness to learn).
