RPS has great opportunities for  Field Engineers  to join our site based teams for roles in the South East . About the Role: We are seeking a number of Field Engineers to work on major water utility projects helping to deliver important infrastructure for their customers and to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements).The duties of the roles shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Monitor and report on works being carried out onsite
  • Monitor the Contractor for compliance with the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations
  • Prepare excellent technical reports and presentations for internal and external use.
Qualifications and Experience The desired qualifications and experience for the Field Engineer are:
  • Level 7/8 degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant post graduate experience in engineering including site works supervision and monitoring of safe working practices. Ideally this will include water sector projects. Experience of pipeline work will be an advantage.
  • Hold a clean driving licence
  • Hold current Safepass, Managing safely in construction.

  • Havea good knowledge & experience of Health & Safety legislation andregulations.
  • Workingknowledge of Public Works and FIDIC form of contract
  • Detailedunderstanding of Health & Safety legislation and regulations
  • Trackrecord of leading or working in site supervision teams
  • Contractordesign review experience beneficial
  • TeamPlayer with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team
  • working skills and analytical skills
  • Abilityto lead and motivate themselves and others; willingly takes ownership of
  • Issuesand seeks team participation to achieve best solution
  • Abilityto define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, andmake recommendations
  • Abilityto devise new approaches to problems encountered
