Description The Director, Strategy and Business Development for Asia Pacific (APAC), will collaborate with the APAC business leadership team and key stakeholders, the global S trategy and B usiness D evelopment team and other business teams to drive CME Group's growth agenda for the region. The Director will be expected to manage a variety of initiatives and activities pertaining to the company's regional growth strategy, requiring strong analytical skills, the ability to engage senior corporate and industry leaders, knowledge of the business and industry, and the application of rigorous attention to detail. Principal Accountabilities • Proactively develop relationships across the industry with a focus on the APAC region and within the internal organization in support of business initiatives and objectives • Design and refine regular business performance reporting tools in to ensure APAC and global business leaders can track business trends by product areas, customer segments and geographic categories • Prepare background materials, discussion points and other information for use by regional and corporate leadership, including C-level executives • Drive regional and country-level assessments and strategic plans to articulate growth opportunities and approaches to address challenges to align the organization on plans for products and services distribution, industry engagement, and revenue growth • Provide analytical and relationship management expertise in support of existing and prospective exchange and other commercial partnerships to optimize commercial relationships • Facilitate cross-functional engagement with key divisions (e.g., Product Lines, Sales, Regulatory, Legal, Technology) to ensure cross-functional cooperation in support of business development opportunities that reflect customer, market, regulatory, and technology and other relevant considerations • Lead and support the identification, evaluation and execution of APAC-related new business development opportunities through commercial agreement development, and, in some cases, investment or acquisition strategies Qualifications and Desired Experience • Degree or equivalent in related fields required e.g. Business, Economics • 8+ years experience in business development, strategy development, international relations, or related field in either a consulting, corporate, or other relevant setting; • Experience conducting and communicating strategic and business case analysis • Experience evaluating, structuring, and negotiating strategic transactions, partnerships and investments a strong plus • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multi-functional teams • Experience both presenting to and leading discussions with senior audience • Strong networking and relationship building skills • Financial markets and particularly derivatives markets experience CME Group: Where Futures Are Made CME Group ( is the world's leading derivatives marketplace.
