What you need to know My client in the Plastics Industry is looking to recruit a Process Engineer to join their expanding team. This role is located in Co. Longford. This is a permanent job with company benefits. Your new job Key duties & responsibilities:
- Manage the efficient setup and operation of polymer processing lines.
- Work well in cross-functional teams and liaise with Production Manager, Technical Manager, Shift Manager, Team Leaders, Quality and Toolroom personnel.
- Oversee the validation of new moulds, machines, and other equipment.
- Record and maintain process control records
- Ensures processes run to a validated state.
- Assist in the development of new work Instructions and forms to support validation activities.
- Resolve technical product and process issues by using initiative and technical knowledge.
- Work closely with toolroom and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
- Work on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects when required.
- Maintain company and product reputation by complying with all necessary Quality & Safety regulations.
- 3rd Level qualification in Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Previous experience as Process Engineer in a plastics company is ideal but not essential.
- Understanding & experience of running Design of Experiment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the capability of solving problems effectively.
- Excellent communicator who can articulately give instructions, share ideas, and influence others in a positive manner.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment to tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Work well under pressure and has a track record of reaching production targets.
- Strong team player who enjoys working with colleagues to achieve collective goals.
