Ibec, the group that represent Irish business, is inviting applications for a Neworks Executive. The deadline for applications is 6th May 2024. Role Purpose: Ibec Networks enables members from various industries and business functions to come together in a networking forum where they can gain access to knowledge, the latest industry insight, tailored seminars with leading experts and opportunities to network with other businesses in their industry. The role will be to support the Head of Business Networks in managing relationships with members and other key stakeholders and identifying opportunities for retention, growth and development that can bring added value to Ibec Network Members. The Executive will also support the implementation of Ibec’s strategy and report directly to the Head of Business Networks. Key Activities & Responsibilities: Member relations; communications and networks work
- Assist the Head of Business Networks, establish new business networks at a sectoral level and develop the “value add” for Network members as well as the wider Ibec membership.
- Participation and co-ordination of network meetings, including sourcing speakers, ensuring appropriate minutes and papers are prepared and actions implemented.
- Preparation of member communication and information channels.
- Writing relevant articles for inclusion in Ibec Networks communications.
- Offering secretariat support to new networks/representative groups.
- Building and maintaining relationships with senior executives in member companies.
- Deliver member services including webinars, events and networking as defined by the membership. This can include content design, sourcing speakers etc.
- Working with the Head of Business Networks to organise, attend key account management meetings, ensuring appropriate meeting follow up and actions are completed.
- Collection of membership subscriptions.
- Delivery of budget and financial targets.
- Membership development, at risk & retention.
- Delivery of the Ibec Customer Charter and Customer Experience Strategy.
- Work collaboratively in delivering general account management.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation on initiatives and projects.
- Driving various initiatives as and when required.
- Be an active member of the team.
- Carry out other duties as identified and agreed with the Head of Business Networks that are in keeping with the overall purpose of the position.
- Hold a third level qualification in a relevant business discipline; additional relevant experience would be an advantage.
- Strong ability to multitask and work to and meet tight deadlines
- Very high level administrative, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrates ability to use initiative and judgement in the role
- Excellent IT skills especially excel, word and powerpoint
- Strong communicator and have excellent writing skills
- Experience of working in a diverse and demanding environment
- Working with member service environment
- Experience of working with committees/working groups and operating at a high level
- Working in a small team environment
- Confident, professional and friendly demeanour
