Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

Brunel International is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in North Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical equipment and systems in the production facilities or refineries. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the following:

1. Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems, including generators, switchgear, motor starters, and protection systems.
2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems.
3. Conducting investigations and root-cause failure analysis.
4. Providing appropriate recommendations for the failure of electrical equipment.
5. Maintaining records of maintenance activities in a maintenance planning system like MAXIMO.
6. Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times when working with electrical equipment and systems.
7. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, standards, etc.
8. Providing effective reporting, communication, and shift handover skills.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical discipline for oil and gas production facilities or refineries.
• Experience with maintenance planning system like MAXIMO.
• Good knowledge in investigations and root cause failure analysis and provide appropriate recommendations for the failure of electrical equipment.
• Effective reporting, communication, and shift handover skills.
• Familiarity with PTW (Permit to Work), confined space entry, electrical isolations, operating integrity, H2S/SO2 (Hydrogen Sulfide/Sulfur Dioxide), personal protective equipment (PPE), etc.
• Adequate knowledge on Electrical PPE and protection.
