Here are some of the key requirements for our Solutions/Business Architect role. Primary Purpose of the Role To provide overall technical leadership for solutions involving a major product or implementation step. Thus, ensuring end to end functionality of the software is within scope of the business needs, and the solution interfaces successfully with the customer’s IT architecture. Translate customer requirements into software specifications. To proactively identify and define the methodology, processes and quality assurance requirements and to collaborate, coach and mentor the development team to promote product and industry knowledge. Key Accountabilities
- Lead the definition of solutions based on Microsoft Business Applications Ecosystem – define engagement outcomes and business benefits, high-level scope, architecture, implementation approach and effort estimates.
- Maintain a “Trusted Advisor” relationship with the customer and identify opportunities for our customers to improve their efficiency and solve key business challenges.
- Take part in the Intuity pre-sales process, providing input to RFPs/Proposals when necessary and prototyping and demoing solutions to potential customers.
- Create designs that meet the customer requirements, fits within the Microsoft suite and is designed to make the best use of company product offerings.
- Creates and validates work estimates and skills required to assist project management with task scheduling and resource requests, including providing technical task identification and proposed delegation.
- Work in an Agile Environment and provide technical leadership to the team.
- Act as mentor to other project members to increase their understanding of the customer and technology.
- Pursues knowledge of upcoming product features as they are made known or released.
- Identify Reusable solution components and specify how they can be abstracted.
- Keep up to date with Microsoft platform changes and features.
- Relevant third level degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
- Ability to prioritize effectively within and across one or more assignments through good judgement, seeking guidance where appropriate.
- Solid team leadership skills to exchange ideas and create a common understanding of project work from conception through issue resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and gain cooperation. Ability to suitably adapt communication based on the audience, e.g. technical vs. management.
