Payroll Manager Our client, a leading Dublin 2 based professional practice are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager / Accounts Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing monthly payrolls for 260 employees, and assisting the Finance team with general accounting. This role will be office based in Dublin City Centre, with 1 day per week working from home after an initial training period. The company are open to recruiting someone on a reduced hours basis. The Role:

  • Accurate and timely preparation and processing of three, monthly payrolls
  • Responsible for ensuring that payroll tax payments and compliance requirements e.g. ERR are met
  • Calculate payroll adjustments including absences (maternity, parental leave etc.), bonuses and other deductions.
  • Administrate payroll related schemes i.e. pension, bike to work, tax savers etc.
  • CSO reports for payroll
  • Prepare payroll related documentation e.g. salary certificates
  • Train new joiners on expenses claiming, timesheets completion and other payroll related matters
  • Responsible for payroll accounting, journal entries, control accounts reconciliations
  • Provide information and answer employee queries about payroll related matters
  • Process employee expenses
  • Daily bank postings and bank reconciliations
  • Accounts payable cover – invoice postings, supplier accounts reconciliations, payments processing and posting to accounting systems, answering queries from creditors
  • Credit card processing and reconciliations
  • VAT returns
The Person:
  • IPASS qualification, ATI or similar
  • Must have prior experience managing payrolls within Ireland
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYE/PRSI rules, payroll processes, pensions, BIKs etc.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Strong excel skills
  • Ability to manage time & prioritise effectively
  • Strong attention to detail (written & numerical)
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
