Job details

To Identify, research and evaluate the suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply within operational plans and SPC’s policies and procedures. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Purchasing Operations:

  • Research and contact the suppliers for the needed parts or products and evaluate the price and the delivery time to submit it to the manager for the final decision
  • Help and support the manager in the selection of suppliers and purchasing orders
  • Follow up with the suppliers & logistics team for shipment arrival time
  • Contact with the finance department to make sure the payment for the supplier is done
  • Follow up and check the discrepancies with the supplier
  • Meet with staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
  • Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
  • Meet with vendors and visit suppliers' plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers
  • Follow up with supplier for back-order balance confirmation and solve any discrepancy
  • records & track supplier payments and credit & debit notes
Policies, Processes and Procedures:
  • Implement approved purchasing policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of business process, cost reduction and productivity improvement
  • Support in monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Knowledge and Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Purchasing
  • Previous Supplier Relationship Management experience is required
  • Communication and Negotiation skills is required
  • MS Office knowledge is required
Education and Certifications A bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required. Low Exposure / Office Degree of Risk - Physical or Mental Injury Low / Normal Risk #J-18808-Ljbffr
