The incumbent is responsible to manage strategic customer accounts and related engine program updates. You will also lead field investigations and coordinate technical and logistical support to drive a prompt helicopter return to service. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead Helicopter Programs customer engineering activities from start to successful resolution.
  • Support event troubleshooting and assist logistics as required.
  • Interface with Field Service Managers, Customer First Centre (Technical Help Desk) and operators through regular field event reviews.
  • Ensure event resolution and provide follow-up through Integrated Product Team, reliability monitoring, technical publication changes, campaigns or other corrective action.
  • Lead and provide support for field escape containment and special inspection programs, and liaise with Engineering and Quality as required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with OEMs and operators worldwide. Support OEMs with key program projects and initiatives.
  • Manage Program updates, reliability and product performance packages, Technical Coordination meetings with OEMs, amongst other tasks.
  • Prepare tri-annual Service Difficulty material for Transport Canada reviews.
  • Represent Pratt & Whitney at operator conferences and present field issues and market updates as required.
  • Represent the customer's voice during internal meetings; support maintenance/overhaul cost initiatives and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Maintain and revise Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (e.g. Engine Maintenance Manual, Service Bulletins, Special Instructions, etc) as required.
  • Liaise as required with Pratt & Whitney India Capability Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevance.
  • Min of 7 years relevant experience in customer program or engineering management.
  • Helicopter engine and airframe knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Solid computer skills (PowerBI, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • Occasional business trips and ability to travel on short notice.
  • Strong commercial & technical skills and able to define value proposition to customers.
  • Customer focused and proven customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player and collaborator.
  • Flexible, motivated, self-driven and adaptable to changes.
  • Demonstrated to work independently.
  • Demonstrated influential leadership locally and remotely.
  • Capable of autonomously prioritizing tasks and delivering on customer commitments.
  • Flexible working hours and may require working in the evening.
