We are seeking a Materials Movement Senior Consultant as a part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, KSA Branch.   • Estimation of construction transport volumes by types of cargo
  • Estimation of transport vehicles required.
  • Development of laydown area and warehouse strategy with location plan
  • Alignment of construction volumes handling regimes
  • Elaboration of guidelines and policies for construction logistics with focus on construction equipment and transport vehicles
  • Feasibility studies of alternative transport solutions
  • Studies on international import gates in KSA with focus on capacities and SOP
  • Liaison with stakeholders, partners and sub-consultant on client‘ side
  • Liaison with and support other experts on the team, both locally and remote
  • Site visits on construction sites
  • Contribute content for logistics handbook.
  • Elaboration of a volumes model in MS Excel
  • Elaboration of presentations in MS Power Point
  • Presentation of results to top management on client site.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain management in the construction industry.
  • Working experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage, plus experience in dealing with Government agencies, client and public & private stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding in materials movement management principles, regulations and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, English & Arabic written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
  • Proficiency in relevant logistics software and tools for tracking and monitoring materials movement.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including excellent skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint presentation.
  • Driving license is required.
