Company description: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Job description: With the increased focus on talent agenda in the Singapore office and Asia Pacific region, this VP position will primarily be responsible to create and implement high touch talent management initiatives, reporting to the Head of Talent Management Team. This role is an excellent career opportunity for someone who enjoys designing and shaping talent initiatives that make an impact on the organization. Key Responsibilities are: Key Talent Programs: Person-in-charge to design and implement bespoke Asia Pacific talent development programs for our mid-level talents that aim to deepen the succession pipeline. As the program manager, you will roll out the program from start-to-finish with the annual cohorts, working with the chosen training providers to fine-tune the curriculum, with stakeholders on selecting talents for the programs, and overseeing the learning projects. Talent Value Proposition Initiatives: This role will work closely with various HR functions and HR Business Partner teams to conceptualize, research and implement talent value proposition initiatives that aim to retain and develop talents. Examples of initiatives are individual development planning and career discussions of the talents, bespoke opportunities with management and organization-wide projects. In addition, this role will be the regional liaison on formal global development opportunities for talents. As part of professional growth and depending on the incumbent’s experience, this role may support performance management or diversity, equity and inclusion related work. Job Requirements :

  • Degree or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong working experience in designing and managing structured bespoke talent programs
  • Working knowledge in talent management practices, performance management, DE&I
  • Meticulous, with strong attention to details
  • Strong sense of responsibility and tenacity to follow through on deliverables
  • Collaborative, team oriented
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Self starter, methodical and logical
