Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities

  • As Agile Coach, build Agile Centre of Excellence and form working guild members to accelerate agile maturity and practices across all relevant teams in the department
  • Drivesoutcomesbyfacilitatingagile ceremoniesto maintain the discipline
  • Definesteamlevelagilemetricsfor reporting and continuous team improvement
  • Enablesthe team to make work visible to each other/stakeholders, and facilitates stakeholder engagement and reviews
  • Ensuresdependencies(across team,upstream / downstream) are understood, and required cross Team delivery is aligned and escalates unresolved dependencies as required
  • Hasexpertisein the useof Enterprise Agile tool stack (Confluence, JIRA, etc),anda working knowledge of the toolsrequired to support the Software Engineering Lifecycle
  • Coordinate with relevant contributors to ensures all impediments to the teams' progress are cleared and the team can focus on their work
  • Manages risks, and ensures mitigations are identified and driven to resolution
  • Builds own knowledge of theproduct/ application(s)the Team deliverstosupport the Product Owner with Backlog Management
  • Works with the Product Owner and Team to ensure the Product Backlog is "Ready" for the next Sprint(meets Definition of Ready)
  • Builds trust within the Teamand Stakeholders, by collaborating on shared goalsand creatinga "Safe-To-Fail" resilient Team culture
  • Responsible for making sure the team lives by the values, principles and practices of agile
  • Employagile best practicesandensures all tools and methodsarein place for teams' success
  • Foster culture for high performancecreatinga collaborative environment,and buildingacontinuous improvement mindset within the team
  • Protects the team to maintain focuson value delivery, reducingwaste,preventingover committingand/orcomplacency, and ensuringspace forinnovation
  • Ensuresthe Teams successes and failures are celebrated
  • Actively seeks and participates in a variety ofLearning Opportunitiessuch as Communities of Practice, Conferences, classroom training, and independent study tofurther develop self and community
  • Provide L1/L2 application support and coordinate with members from the development team or relevant teams for resolution
  • Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis and work with relevant teams to define resolution and drive to close
  • Switch hats as required to take on work as part of multiple Agile teams or initiatives, i.e. as Business Analyst, Project Manager, Delivery Manager
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field that involves programming, or combination of equivalent practical experience and education.
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years working experience in relevant role/s.
  • Ability to lead and negotiate solutions that balance technical capability, cost, and time, against business need is required.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously is required.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and generate enthusiasm among stakeholders.
  • Must possess strong analytical, organisational and product management skills.
  • Ability to communicate difficult sensitive information tactfully is required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, i.e. users, developers, operations, QA, managers and subject matter experts.
  • Possess good problem-solving skill and can adapt to changes in business requirements.
  • Effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced, global environment.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage assignments effectively and working within tight deadlines.
  • Strong communications skills to collaborate with developers, QA, project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Good to have experience working in Agile teams using JIRA tool.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn new skills, existing and emerging technologies.
