Ather Labs’ first game is SIPHER a lore-heavy Action RPG with a PVE Co-op Dungeon and PVP Battle Arena mode, designed for both casual and competitive players. The game is easy to pick up but hard to master. Our founding team is based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. However, we are an international group with hybrid roles, consisting of members from various backgrounds, including Vietnam, the US, Europe, Singapore, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Indonesia, and more. Report Directly to Finance Director The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounting, finance, and tax activities in the operating markets. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive management team and partners to ensure accuracy, transparency in financial activities, and compliance with local regulations.

• Manage and direct the accounting team in performing accounting, finance, tax, audit, and asset management tasks for the company.
• Co-operate to prepare and control budgets, financial plans, financial reports, and tax reports as required by the company and local regulations.
• Collaborate with related departments to ensure efficient company operations, optimize costs, and increase profitability.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal regulations, and company policies related to accounting, tax, and finance.
• Support the executive management team in decision-making and financial assessment based on business analysis.
• Develop and maintain an effective internal control system, ensuring transparency and accuracy in accounting work.
• Keep up-to-date with new regulations related to finance, tax, and accounting, and propose process improvements.
• Liaise with partners, banks, tax authorities, and other parties involved in accounting, finance, and tax issues.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, auditing or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in a Chief Accountant or equivalent position, preferably in the game or technology industry.
• Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and financial analysis tools.
• Good communication skills in both Vietnamese and English (verbal and written).
• In-depth knowledge of accounting, tax, and finance regulations in Vietnam, Singapore, and other markets once requested.
• Ability to manage and direct the accounting team, prioritize tasks, and make accurate and timely decisions.
• Ability to work independently and handle high work pressure.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and cautious in performing accounting and financial tasks.
