Job details
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
- Ensure that customers have a positive dining experience.
- Staff management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff, including servers, baristas, and kitchen staff.
- Create work schedules and assign tasks to staff members.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching when necessary.
- Ensure that staff follows health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
- Inventory and Stock Control:
- Manage cafe inventory, including ordering and replenishing supplies.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Oversee the rotation of perishable goods and maintain freshness standards.
- Menu Management:
- Collaborate with the cafe management to develop and update the menu.
- Ensure that menu items are prepared and presented according to established standards.
- Monitor customer preferences and provide input for menu changes.
- Financial Management:
- Keep track of daily sales and expenses
- Prepare and manage the cafe's budget
- Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that food and beverages meet quality and safety standards
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the cafe
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain hygiene and cleanliness
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Assist in marketing efforts to attract and retain customers.
- Participate in planning and executing promotional events and special offers.
- Engage with customers on social media and respond to online reviews.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead by example and foster a positive work environment.
- Motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent service.
- Encourage teamwork and effective communication among employees.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Complete administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling, and reporting.
- Maintain records of sales, expenses, and inventory levels.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training to new employees and ongoing development for existing staff.
- Ensure that employees are knowledgeable about menu items and customer service standards.
