Job Summary The Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development, launch, and ongoing management of our digital insurance products, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. He/she will be actively involved in developing smart insurance solutions in the retail space, performing research and market assessment, designing new propositions, and implementing product roll-out plan in line with Tree product portfolio aspirations and overarching strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, digital technology, and the insurance industry. Responsibilities • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for digital insurance products, including defining • product vision, features, and enhancements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver • high-quality digital insurance solutions on time and within budget. • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify market trends, • opportunities, and customer pain points. • Define and prioritize product features based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility, • using agile product development methodologies. • Work closely with technology teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of digital • insurance products, including API integrations and data analytics capabilities. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track product performance, user engagement, and • business impact, and iterate on product features based on data-driven insights. • Collaborate with marketing and partnership teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and • messaging for digital insurance products, and support sales enablement efforts. • Develop partnership strategy for our retail products, collaborating within the team to identify target • segments, customers, and opportunities. • Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets set by management for the 2024 portfolio. • Provide recommendations on determining product KPIs, assessment tools and frameworks to enable • effective monitoring of product performance. • Recommend improvements on portfolio expansion opportunities and ideas to ensure alignment with pre-set • strategy and targets. • Identify existing products requiring update/improvement (i.e., new features) in coordination with portfolio • analysis and reporting. • Prepare product filing documentation to ensure alignment with internal and national policies prior to its roll-• out. • Develop product business case and recommend improvements to secure approval of the product committee • and external regulators. • Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance (tracking against budget), market trends, and • competitive landscape to senior management and stakeholders. • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the digital • insurance landscape, and incorporate insights into product strategy and roadmap. Requirements Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. • 4+ years of experience in product management. • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing innovative products from concept to launch in • a fast-paced environment. • Experience in working with squads, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve • shared goals. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and • influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Experience with Agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, • Product board). • Understanding of technology and software development processes, with the ability to effectively • communicate with technical teams and assess technical feasibility of product features. • Familiarity with product analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities, and overcoming • challenges with resilience and determination. • Good knowledge of the insurance industry.
