Job details

Responsibilities: Financial, Management and Statutory Reporting

  • Review the monthly closing, bank reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Review the monthly consolidated financial statements with variance analysis
  • Review, approval of payments including vouching of payments to ensure they are booked in the appropriate account
  • Review instruction letters to trustee, the fund request/fund flow from overseas, monitor and review of cashflow
  • Review the computation of manager’s fee and trustee fee
  • Attend Monthly Operating Review meeting to understand the property level performance
  • Review the MAS reporting, GST reporting, Statement of Claims, and report of withholding tax on a quarterly basis
  • Attend ARC meetings and board meetings and present quarterly financial results
  • Review audited financial statements and liaising with company secretary on annual AGM documentation and XBRL filing
  • Review the annual MAS reporting based on audited financial statements
  • Review SGX announcement prepare by team and discuss with auditors on any matters arising
  • Prepare and review of board paper, dividend declaration and RPS redemption and ensure cancelation of old share certificate and the issuance of new share certificate are in order
Tax reporting
  • Review ECI filing, tax return for Trust and SPVs
  • Work closely with tax consultant on the quarterly tax clearance and distribution to unitholders
Treasury and Budget
  • Worked with CFO to propose hedging strategy for Board Approval
  • Work with team to monitor the Trust cashflow
  • Work with Property Manager to make sure the bank accounts at property level comply with the group approved DOA
  • Prepare group level budget which also involves strong understanding of the property manager level budget
  • Present annual budget to the board for approval
Others Ad-hoc Projects
  • Managed acquisition projects, especially structure, tax, accounting, and funding perspective
  • Prepare Circular and OIS documents 
  • Issue units as and when required
  • Review MAS surveys and Surveys from Statistics Department as and when required
  • Provide coaching, guidance and on the job training to team members 
  Requirements:
  • Degree in Accountancy, Certified Public Accountant or possess a professional qualification in Finance
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience and previous real estate related experience is strongly desirable, preferably in listed companies, REIT, or fund management
