Work Permit Requirement in Kuwait

Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant's ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant's behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations. It states that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A bachelor's degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations. Candidates with a current Visa 18 (residency visa) are excluded from the education requirement.

Job Description: Logistics Operations Center (LOC) SupervisorCurrent Ops (MOC)

The Logistics Operations Center SupervisorCurrent Ops is responsible for operational planning and synchronization of the maintenance operations supporting routine and non-routine mission requirements for Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS5).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the equipment maintenance operations discipline.
  2. Performs customer service for Maintenance Operations GCSSA related activities in accordance with the GCSSA End User Manual (EUM).
  3. Validates, monitors, and researches Maintenance related GCSSArmy Work Orders CLIX transactions, Service Schedules, Unscheduled Maintenance actions, and provides resolution on complex issues.
  4. Handles multiple Maintenance operations taskings simultaneously and provides updated status to the Government customer on schedule and mission performance weekly through CDRL input requirements.
  5. Ensures assigned staff is properly trained to perform mission-related analysis including workload analysis, skill sets availability, task scheduling impacts, requirements for external coordination, and determination of both specified and implied tasks required to complete an assignment.
  6. Provides timely, accurate, and Maintenance Operations relevant information to the Department/Project leadership and the customer.
  7. Generates Maintenance related reports from GCSSArmy or other LIS system as required.
  8. Provides logistical support to other operational and support elements as required.
  9. Conducts and participates in scheduled unscheduled meetings, briefings, or planning exercises.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
