Description

This company engages in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas. It operates through the following segments: Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate. The Upstream segment includes crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exploration, field development, and production. The Downstream segment focuses on refining, logistics, power generation, and the marketing of crude oil, petroleum and petrochemical products, and related services to international and domestic customers Responsibilities:

• Acts as a “Corporate Advisor” for corporate strategy and related issues, providing strategic and process-related insight to the Strategic Planning Department, Corporate Planning organization, CEO, and Corporate Management.
• Supports the development and update of the Company’s Corporate Strategy in coordination with other business strategists and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the Corporate Planning organization and various business and support lines. Generates and proposes strategic options backed up with appropriate analysis.
• Facilitates and monitors periodic corporate-wide strategy execution reviews to measure progress of business and enabling strategies, identifying early warning signs and possible areas of adjustment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Financial Management, or closely related discipline; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Must have 10+ years of experience, with the last 5+ years in a similar function within a major energy company or consultancy house.
• Must have a deep understanding of the latest oil and gas, chemicals, refining, sustainability, and new energy industry trends, developments, strategies, and technologies. Specifically, the candidate should be well-versed in the new energies space, including market and investment trends, policy and regulatory environment, commercialization, and market entry strategies.
