stc1499 - Bid Management Specialist

Sector: Business Department: Corporate Segment Country: Bahrain Location: Bahrain - Manama Contract Type: Full Time Job Objective: Support the Corporate Segment Department in the development, submission and management of competitive bids that adhere to clients’ requirements for both telecommunication services and ICT solutions. In addition to support throughout the full process starting from opportunity identification to the delivery of the proposal, negotiation, and bid-closure while focusing on creating value for the client and the profitability of stc Bahrain. Key Responsibilities:

Primary Contribution

  • Constantly look out for market opportunities on which to submit bids and feed into the decision of qualifying opportunities in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders and departments (e.g., Pre-sales, sales, etc.).
  • Assist in formulating the strategy for winning bids, including an understanding of the stc’s key differentiators of products and features and client requirements.
  • Support in the development of bids in response to RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs covering both Telco and ICT products and services.
  • Understand client-specific bid process requirements (deadlines, submissions of technical requirements, etc.) and ensure compliance and client requirement fulfilment across the proposal.
  • Assist in Research, writing and/or review of proposals in collaboration with other departments.
  • Coordinate development of the financial proposal in alignment with presales and sales teams.

Collaboration and cross boundary Interactions

  • Coordinate and align with different departments across the bid journey from opportunity identification, bid development, submission, negotiation, and closure.
  • Support in negotiation with specialist suppliers and/or subcontractors
  • Respond to clients’ and other stakeholders’ queries before, during and after the bid submission.

People Management

  • Assist in building and managing a team to work on different parts of the bid, ensuring collaboration and effective communication among team members.
  • Change management and continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to changes in the bid process or client requirements, ensuring that the bid strategy remains aligned with company goals and market conditions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of bid management processes by providing feedback and suggesting enhancements.

Reporting and compliance

  • Develop bid timelines covering all aspects of the opportunity, including internal and external touch points.
  • Manage the preparation of all bid submission documents and milestones, ensuring the overall submission to the client is best in class.
  • Own, implement and sustain Bid Management-specific processes and policies and ensure adherence to regulations throughout the bid process.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or any other relevant field. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
