Executive Advisor - Strategy Public Policy
- To deliver GHD Advisory’s services to our clients pertaining to the Strategy & Public Policy practice, spanning areas within the strategy, public policy, economics, and government transformation fields.
- Leads efforts, in collaboration with other market-facing colleagues, to secure a pipeline of work for the Strategy & Public Policy team, with an aim of expanding and diversifying the practice, and meeting financial and utilization targets, under the direction of the Strategic Consulting Business Group Leader.
- Leveraging internal and external relationships to drive business development activities within the team.
- Provide direction and coaching to develop team members and contribute to the overall functioning of the Strategy & Public Policy team.
- Technical leadership on projects as required and direction and input on tenders/bids or proactive client proposals.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, Project Directors and Project Teams.
- Supporting our clients in operating more effectively both at an organizational and sector level to drive performance and better serve their communities.
- Leading project delivery and managing project teams focused on government strategy, public policy, economics and economic decision-making, and organizational transformation of government entities, from design through to implementation.
- 15+ years of experience working on public policy, strategy, organizational design and governance projects in a government sector context. Previous experience working in a consultancy is highly desirable.
- A proven work winner with the commercial skills to generate new business.
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading teams, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people across all levels in an organization.
- Good commercial and financial awareness, responsibility for financial targets and budget achievement, and a track record of work winning in a consultancy context.
- Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in establishing relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas optimally, both verbally and in writing.
- Confidence to work effectively in a high-energy, fast paced environment.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills; e.g. relates well to colleagues, clients and business contacts, and can influence to achieve positive results.
