Responsibilities:

  1. Design and oversee the construction of concrete manufacturing facilities, including batch plants, mixers, and storage facilities, adhering to relevant codes and regulations.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to assess the suitability of locations for new manufacturing facilities.
  3. Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects, considering factors such as materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
  4. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and compliance with project timelines and budgets.
  5. Perform structural analysis and calculations to assess the integrity and stability of concrete structures, recommending design modifications as needed.
  6. Conduct quality control inspections and tests on concrete materials and components to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  7. Troubleshoot technical issues related to concrete manufacturing processes and equipment, implementing effective solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in concrete technology, and regulatory requirements, incorporating best practices into engineering designs and processes.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams, assisting with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of concrete manufacturing equipment.
  10. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the engineering department, promoting adherence to safety protocols and standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven minimum 2-year experience as a Civil Engineer in building construction. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant codes and regulations. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering analysis and design tools. Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering decisions. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work effectively within a team.
