This position will deliver support as a component of Juniper’s maintenance support Services (Program). The TSE’s are in charge of providing technical support for Juniper devices (Routing, Switching, Security and Network Management Security). The resolution of a Service Request may include problem isolation, lab replication, solution testing, packet capture, analyzing network traces, perform remote diagnostics and perform remote configuration. Training will be on site during 1-2 weeks approximately.

Networking Area: Switching Qualifications

Qualifications:
  1. CCNA latest version completed (must)
  2. High School Diploma (must)
  3. Full schedule availability (must)
  4. Advance English level (must)

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Network Fundamentals:
  • IP tools
  • OSI Model (concepts and traffic on each layer)
  • Traffic types (unicast, multicast, broadcast)
Routing / Routed protocols:
  • Distance vector Protocols and Link State Protocol
  • ARP
STP Operation:
  • Concepts of RSTP, PVST
  • Ports states and port roles, costs, root-bridge election
  • Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) basic operation
Layer 2 Protocols:
  • Functions and operation of ARP, DHCP, Port-Security, Storm Control, LLDP, IGMP, L2PT (QinQ)
Layer 2 Communication:
  • VLANs, trunks, access ports, native VLANs
  • Unicast and broadcast flooding
