The Team: The Finance organization has a long track record of promoting employees from within. We are seeking a motivated individual who is looking to grow their career within Cognex. Our Finance organization oversees general accounting, accounts payable, customer billing, credit and collections, order administration, and financial planning activities, as well as ensures processes meet the needs of our business. The Role: The Financial Analyst will partner with and support European Sales & Marketing, providing financial planning and analysis, and decision support for all aspects of the revenue, margin, and expense cycles for the EMEA region. The successful candidate will have very strong finance, accounting and analytical skills, solid business judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.  Essential Functions: Act as a “trusted business advisor”, ensuring the business has the most up to date and accurate data to make sound business decisions. Prepare the Europe Sales annual budget and quarterly forecasts for bookings, capacity planning and operating expenses. Prepare and provide meaningful insights on monthly Europe Sales & Marketing financial package including KPIs. Prepare and analyse the monthly Sales Responsibility P&L. Prepare monthly expense variance explanations for corporate management package. Analyse month end department expense results for European Sales & Marketing departments and work with the European GL team to prepare appropriate accruals. Identify, model and implement cost saving opportunities across Europe. Partner with Sales Operations to ensure complete understanding of the business model. Partner with our ES Organization on headcount and capacity planning. Support ad-hoc analysis for the sales team. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Positive self-motivated individual with excellent communication and teamworking skills. Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with your finance and business partners. High level of proficiency with Excel is essential. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications; Power BI experience is an advantage. High level of attention to detail; ensuring both numerical and written accuracy. Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and create meaningful business reporting. Manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment. A team player with the ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally. SAP experience is a plus. Minimum education and work experience required:

• Level 8 Degree or Masters Qualification in Finance, Business or related discipline
• Fully qualified Accountant with a professional accounting qualification e.g. Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certification.
