Position Overview

Ready to Make an impact? This is a contract position covering a Maternity Leave that will start July, 2024 for 14-months. Here's where you'll be focusing:

Lead replenishment team for the Atlantic region

Lead a high performance Grocery replenishment team that is focused on service levels, inventory turns and RSC shrink

Oversee vendor performance with respect to order-fill (service levels) and on-time delivery to the RSCs

Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and define targets

Work with the Vendors, Category Management and Sobeys RSCs and Logistic teams to maximize performance and meet targets

Provide leadership and guidance to the replenishment team in the development and management of best-practice inventory management processes that will meet or exceed benchmarks for customer order-fill, freshness and inventory turns

Manage overstock and coordinate its sell through to the stores to minimize RSC shrink

Partner with Lawton's merchandising team and RSCs to address service level recovery

Ensure that the replenishment team meets budget financial targets and contributes to the region thought leadership on replenishment strategies. Identify and communicate business development opportunities to vendors and category managers, including: freight management, new/emerging products, extension of seasonal availabilities, new sourcing geographies.

Requirements

What you have to offer:

An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Extensive experience in the retail grocery business, specifically category management, logistics, and/or store operations

Experience working in replenishment, including inventory leadership roles
