Senior C++ Software Engineer (Tools)

That said, experience in C++ and/or game development is not at all necessary: we have an excellent adaptation system for a comfortable transition for beginners from Unity and from other industries. They are the reason that our games have continued to grow and improve for 19 years.  The Technical Lead is a strong technical specialist capable of solving truly complex engineering problems, both independently and with the involvement of other developers in the team. Main areas within our projects:  

• Feature: develop events and mini-games from scratch (ranging from various competitions to mini-games like Merge)
• Technical: optimization, technical stability support, SDK (reducing loading speed, memory consumption, etc.)
• Match-3 and meta: working with graphics and basic game mechanics (adding new functionality, refactoring and optimization

Tasks

Significant acceleration of the app's loading speed and minimization of crashes Development of a tool for transferring event content between projects Development of tools that increase development efficiency: for example, an editor for Match-3 levels Implementing offline functionality for the app Revising the game to improve quality and stability, preparing a list of changes and subsequently implementing them

Our stack

Languages: C++, and Lua and Python for single tasks Advanced CI/CD, automated testing, code review processes and much more

Requirements

5+ years of experience in developing commercial projects in C++ and/or Unity Experience optimizing and profiling applications Broad range of interests in the development field

Preferred

Confident knowledge of modern C++ 14/17 standards, as well as STL Experience in development for iOS and Android mobile platforms Experience working with Python Experience with CI/CD tools Experience with rendering and CMake
