Head of Tax - Finance, Remote

We are currently seeking a Head of Tax for a rapidly growing Financial Services company. Following my client’s period of expansion, they are looking to expand their in-house finance team, including a first dedicated tax role. This hire will be responsible for managing interactions with advisors, acting as a key point of contact for all tax related matters and building out a tax team. This is an incredibly rare remote role, only requiring the successful candidate to be in the office twice a month. Responsibilities: - Acting as key point of contact for all tax matters across on-going financial projects - Liaising with third party advisors to ensure that compliance is filed in an accurate and timely manner - Getting involved with international tax projects - Ad hoc advisory - Helping grow the in-house tax function, playing a key role in the hiring process, and ensuring that the team’s professional goals are realised Requirements: - ACA and/or CTA qualified from Big 4 with exposure to financial services preferred but not required - Proven corporate tax experience across both compliance and advisory, experience with VAT, particularly partial exemption and an understanding of employment tax - Comfortable working effectively with advisors and managing internal relationships Package: - Competitive Salary (c. £100,000)- Sizeable bonus - 2 days a month in the office - Medical insurance - 27 days holiday plus bank holidays
