Interim Finance Controller - 6 months to perm

The Company Exciting new opportunity! We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support our client, a listed and leading player in the Telecommunications industry on a 6 months contract with a possibility of conversion. We will prioritize candidates who are immediately available or available at short-notice. The Role

• Manage Financial & Management reporting function, providing leadership to shared service.
• Offer financial insights to business leaders, including costing and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely production of statutory reporting and internal financial controls.
• Collaborate with business divisions to develop solid business budgets and forecasts.
• Drive, review, and implement financial policies, procedures, controls, and systems.
• Manage external relationships with investors and professional advisors.
• Oversee financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and risk management.
• Champion governance agenda, establishing best practice accounting processes.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial results, statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Oversee financial reporting cycle, including general ledger close and external reporting.
• Prepare monthly Group consolidation reports.
• Analyze performance regularly, providing variance explanations and recommendations.
• Manage treasury and cash-flow.
• Work closely with subsidiaries to maintain effective internal control environment.
• Oversee accounting treatment and recording of non-standard transactions.
• Liaise with auditors, bankers, and tax agents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

• Degree in accountancy (ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a regional role.
• Prior experience working for listed companies.
• Familiarity with ACCPAC, ERPs, and MS Office suite.
• Strong English communication; Chinese proficiency preferred.
• Meticulous, independent worker, meeting tight deadlines.
• Team player with initiative, problem-solving, and resourcefulness.
• Proven technical capability, commercially minded, with strong relationships.
