Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Coastal Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on very exciting waterfront development projects in the region/.
Responsibilities:
Design of coastal protection structures such as revetments and breakwaters
Design of beaches including groynes
Design scour protection
Design of seawater intake/outfall structures
Prepare specifications and manage bathymetric surveys
Inspect and assess the condition of existing coastal structures
Participate in the preparation of specifications for marine geotechnical investigations
Use or oversee the use of advanced hydrodynamic modeling software such as the Mike21 suite of programs
Function as discipline Project Coastal Engineer on projects, assuming responsibility for leading designs for the group.
Plan, direct, and supervise the coastal engineering work on a project with responsibility for schedule, quality and resource expenditure.
Lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth.
Ensures compliance of marine and coastal design with all applicable codes and regulations.
Prepares technical papers, reports, and presentations.
