About the job
Manage all incoming medical records requests (ensuring the office is within HIPPA guidelines).
Coordinate with patients and medical staff at civilian and military treatment facilities to schedule medical appointments and retrieve medical documentation.
Obtain referrals for all HMO patients.
Prepare fee slips with correct CPT and ICD-9 codes, and ready deposits for billing service.
Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Completion of residency in orthopedics or podiatry
Board certification in foot and ankle surgery
Valid medical license in the state of practice
Ability to interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and MRI scans
