About the job
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluation of all activities relating to the emergency care of the pediatric patient within the organization.
Special Skills And Abilities Required
The organizational and supervisor skills to plan, organize and direct Pediatric Emergency Department activities that meet the expectations of patients, physicians, paramedics, and the community.
The analytical skills necessary to evaluate personnel and program effectiveness, to project and plan program goals, and to prepare analytical reports.
The interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of hospital personnel, physicians, patients, and paramedics.
The written and verbal skills necessary to communicate in a clear, concise manner.
Extensive experience and education in the emergency care of children.
Physical Requirements
Moderate physical effort. May require frequent periods of standing or walking.
May require lifting or moving of lightweight material, occasional moving or lifting of average weight material, or rarely lifting or moving of heavy weight material.
Flow of work and character of duties involves normal mental and visual attention.
