Be involved in steering Fugro towards excellence by aligning, formulating and executing a global strategy for (power) automation and controls. Join us in Leidschendam, the Netherlands, as the visionary Strategy Manager of (Power) Automation & Controls Fleet, where you can spearhead initiatives that transcend mere conception to impactful implementations.At the helm, you will lead a team of talented engineers, guiding them through the design and development of cutting-edge automation solutions. Your focus will be on driving efficiency, reliability, enhancing quality, improving ergonomics, fostering remote capabilities, autonomy, and elevating delivery standards. For servicing the existing fleet you will also lead remote and flying squat teams. You will be entrusted with fortifying the reliability, safety and autonomy of a diverse fleet, including Geophysical Research Vessels, Geotechnical Drilling Research Vessels, and Inspection Vessels equipped with DP2 classification and ROVs.In close collaboration with many relevant stakeholders within Fugro you drive to standardization, facilitating seamless integration across several divisions. Allowing Fugro with the possibility of remote and autonomous operations of our Fleet, as well as, ensuring seamless integration of systems and equipment across our vessels. Aiming for seamless integration of associated geotechnical, geophysical data acquisition, and inspection equipment.Your role would typically involve very limited international travel, with the exception of a few weeks a year when you visit Fugro stakeholders in other offices, vessels and suppliers.Your role You align global Strategy on (power) automation and control, for the Fleet other data acquisition and inspection equipment used on or deployed of vessels;You orchestrate the smooth transmission of data streams (OTS) to shore, envisioning the inception of remote and autonomous operations;You support on integration, automation and control aspects of preparation and execution of new building projects and conversions of vessels;You lead and develop a team of electrical, electronic and program engineers responsible for engineering all technical aspects of (power) automation and controls, within Marine Technical Department;You lead and develop a team of electrical, electronic and program engineers responsible for remote and on-site support (installation, commissioning, trouble shooting, repairs) of (power) automation and controls on our Fleet;You will engage actively in optimizing maintenance schedules within Fleet development, fostering seamless collaboration between peers in the Technical Department of Fleet Services, department heads, Regional Fleet Managers, and Managers of other engineering departments;You are responsible that adequate resources are available and ensure compliance with policy and principles within Fleet operations.Your trackrecordYou hold at least a bachelor's degree in Technical Business Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Marine studies;You have +/- 10 years of experience, bringing a robust background in asset management to the table. If you have a background in marine this is considered a strong plus;You possess outstanding expertise in electrical systems and automation;You demonstrate the ability to lead with a forward-thinking and visionary mindset, guiding teams towards the future of strategic planning and have proven experience in team management, providing direction, feedback, coaching, and development;You can display strong organizational and time management skills.
