Afrikaans Speech Language Pathologist, Secunda, Mpumalanga

Our client, based in Secunda, Mpumalanga is looking for a speech language pathologist to assist at multiple sites (offices, hospitals and schools) with the diagnosing and treating of speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:

Evaluating the speech abilities of children and adults through administering diagnostic tests

Evaluating feeding and swallowing disorders of newborns, children and adults

Providing intervention to people with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, dysphagia, stuttering, speech sound disorders, Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysarthria, language disorders and early intervention

Development and implementation of effective rehabilitative programs for patients with speech, language and cognitive difficulties

Provide the service at the practice, private hospitals, schools and offices

Qualification:

Batchelor in Speech Language and Audiology

Active member of the HPCSA

At least 2 years experience in this field of specialty

Skills and attributes:

Computer Literate (Microsoft office suite)

Bilingual (English and Afrikaans is essential)

Passionate, loyal, hardworking

Motivated

Disciplined

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse clients and their families

Excellent communication and counselling skills

Empathetic nature

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 07h30 16h00
