The Parent Centre is a Non-Profit, primary preventive organization offering comprehensive parenting counselling, education and support services based in Wynberg Cape Town. The current Chief Executive Officer has given notice of intention to retire and hand the baton over to a suitably qualified individual with the same passion and drive to continue The Parent Centre's legacy. The key performance areas of this position include inter alia: • Provide overall strategic leadership and implementation oversight of all The Parent Centre programmes. • Devise financial strategy for long-term sustainability, including marketing, and ensure implementation and maintenance of financial management systems and donor reporting. • Human resource management and staff development. • Maintain donor/stakeholder relationships and source new funding opportunities inclusive of social entrepreneurship. • Advocate for and represent The Parent Centre to external stakeholders. • Ensure proper governance oversight and compliance with all applicable legislation. • Manage organizational resources and operations. The successful candidate will fit the following criteria: • Be aligned to the values of The Parent Centre. • Preferably be a qualified Social Worker registered with the South African Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP). • 5 to 8 years senior management experience preferably gained in a related Non-Profit social work sector. • Have sound knowledge of the legal framework within which The Parent Centre operates. • Strong strategic management and analytical skills. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • High emotional intelligence. • Have a consultative management approach and a willingness to engage with and learn from the experience of others. • Experience and skills in human resource management, budgeting and financial management. • Proven experience, skills and success in service delivery innovation. • Proven experience, skills and success in fundraising inclusive of social entrepreneurship and building and maintaining donor/stakeholder relationships. • Demonstrated communication and networking capabilities, including building partnerships with community and civil society organizations, corporate and government organizations. • Previous experience in evaluating impact assessment of monitoring and evaluation systems is an added advantage. • Ability to carry high workload and work under pressure and maintain a flexible work schedule required to meet the demands of this position. • Strong time management skills. • Excellent written and spoken English. (Fluency in Afrikaans and/or isiXhosa an advantage though not essential). • High level of computer literacy. • Driver's license and own transport.
