We are looking for a Payroll Officer with ANZ payroll experience to be based in our Shared Services office in Petaling JayaAbout the role
This role requires hands-on skills across ANZ payroll and ensures the accurate processing of the payroll, including timesheets, leave, termination calculations, payroll tax, superannuation, and Australia Payroll Legislation. Tou will be required to work with internal and external stakeholders, such as the payroll vendor, HR, Union representative, and relevant departments, to deploy the Payroll solution. What you will be doing- Process weekly & monthly payroll, reconcile and submit all payroll reports after each pay run.
- Ensure compliance with relevant state(s) and federal legislation and requirements and apply each EBA requirement on timesheet validation.
- Manage staff queries promptly and efficiently and resolve them within agreed service level timeframes.
- Ensure all payroll documents are accurately processed and in a timely manner by pay cycle.
- Process staff movements, including new starters, departures, and other movements.
- Understand all leave types (applying firm policies and processes) and be able to reconcile accruals with leave takes.
- Understanding Portable Long Service Scheme and different rules that apply for each state.
- Diligent management and tracking of payroll open tasks on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with minimum 3 years Australia/ New Zealand payroll experience.
- Confident English communication skills as you need to liaise with stakeholders in ANZ on a daily basis.
- A Collaborator, as you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders like HR, Finance, global support team, payroll vendors etc.
- Attention to detail and willingness to take on additional tasks to meet business objectives.
- Flexible attitude to working hours to meet payroll deadlines and demand.
- Ability to learn quickly when facing new situations and open to change.
