[Posting on behalf of Mentoring SG] Company Description Mentoring SG ( is a national movement under Forward SG that aims to build a culture of mentoring in Singapore and make mentoring more accessible for youths. The initiative seeks to support youth development and school-to-work transitions through mentoring, enabling youth to thrive, grow, and realise their aspirations. Mentors play a pivotal role in broadening youths' perspectives on success and providing guidance, support, and practical advice during key transitions. Mentoring fosters positive identity formation and helps youth make informed choices in education, career, and life transitions. Why this role? To amplify mentoring impact. Good Leadership enables the organization to have a big impact on the youth, thus Kelvin invests in building a pool of 30 executive mentors to journey with 100 social impact leaders, who in turn, impacts 10,000 youth by 2026. Role Description This is a volunteer role, preferably based in Singapore , for an experienced leader to join us as Executive Mentor at Mentoring SG. The Executive Mentor will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and practical advice to the leaders of social impact organisations. The role will involve building relationships with these leaders, listening, understanding their challenges, offering sound advice, sharing personal experiences, and helping your leader mentees navigate various transitions. The Executive Mentor will contribute to the development, motivation, and growth of these leaders, empowering them to reach their fullest potential, thus impacting the youth under their care even more positively. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience
  • Minimum of 5 years strategic leadership experience
  • Volunteers based in Singapore preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Believes deeply in mentoring and coaching
  • Experience working with leaders and youth
  • Empathy and a nurturing mindset
  • Patience and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Passion for youth development and making a positive impact
  • Experience in leadership or executive roles is a plus
  • Background in education, counseling, or related fields is beneficial
What's next? Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a coffee chat to understand the expectations and commitment both ways. You will also be invited to embark on a 3-months mentoring experiential journey yourself before being matched to mentees. All other applicants will be invited to join Mentoring SG as a social mentor, where mentees across Singapore may reach out to you for sound advice, training will be provided.
