THE ROLE:
- Lead the development and implementation of credit risk strategies specific to credit card portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of managers and analysts responsible for acquisition and existing customer credit card strategies
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques to conduct comprehensive analyses of portfolio performance, identifying key insights and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and finance, to drive initiatives aimed at maximizing portfolio profitability and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Provide strategic guidance and insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making and drive business outcomes.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging best practices in credit risk management, incorporating them into strategy development processes.
- Extensive experience in credit risk strategy development and optimisation within the financial services industry, with a specialization in credit cards.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience medium-sized (6+) teams of analytical team members
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective credit risk strategies that drive measurable business results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
