Plains is looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to be based out of district field office in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. This position is responsible for providing mechanical support within a maintenance team environment on various rotating equipment, valves, pressure relief devices and other related equipment in hydrocarbon service. Support to all areas of our Manito P/L system and our NGL facility. #plains Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all stationary and rotating mechanical equipment;
- Identify opportunities for optimization and improvement;
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs and guidelines for all our mechanical equipment is
- adhered to;
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies/procedures as they pertain to this position;
- Understand and adhere to safety practices, procedures and policies.
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, and picker trucks
- Provide support during non-business hours within the expectations of an on-call rotation
- Minimum Grade 12 with an inter-provincial Journeyman/Red Seal status in the Millwright or Mechanical trades;
- Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of pumps, valves, relief valves, mechanical seals, and other equipment;
- A preference will be given to those with 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry:
- Strong computer and problem-solving skills are required;
- Self-motivated and energetic with effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals in a busy field environment;
- Permanent residency within 100 KM of Kerrobert is required;
- A valid driver's license with a clean abstract;
- A cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks;
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing; and
- Compliance with the Company's requirement to be clean shaven to ensure the proper fit of emergency PPE.
