This position requires an experienced professional who can effectively manage, plan, execute and evaluate projects while ensuring the project aligns with organizational objectives and global health standards. The incumbent will drive the project at the site level, requiring a thorough understanding of health protocols, public health complexities, and a strategic approach to project management within established timelines and quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess familiarity with donor reporting requirements, financial reporting, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks. In addition, the candidate should have exceptional writing and analytical skills that allow them to produce high-quality, compelling reports for different donor audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to effectively guide a diverse project team, cultivating a work environment that promotes collaboration, open and transparent communication, and a commitment to high-performance standards.
  • Efficiently lead the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring their meticulous alignment with the overarching project objectives; work in close collaboration with key stakeholders to define the precise scope, deliverables, and timelines, reflecting a nuanced understanding of the intricacies of an immunization project.
  • Act as a mentor and guide team members, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to drive the project towards its goals.
  • Identify the training needs of the project team and develop capacity-building initiatives to enhance their skills and knowledge; facilitate training sessions and workshops focusing on areas such as project management, reporting, and donor communication to strengthen the team's capabilities.
  • Efficiently supervise and manage the execution of project activities at the site, with an unwavering commitment to strict adherence to established protocols and guidelines by the organization and the donor agencies.
  • Work closely with the finance department to develop and oversee the project budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and seamless management of the project.
  • Exert diligent supervision over expenses, promoting a culture that values resource-efficient and cost-effective utilization.
  • Foster seamless collaborations with internal departments and external partners, ensuring a harmonious and effective implementation phase that meets the project's objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with critical stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Represent organizational and project interests with poise and efficacy at various forums, exemplifying the mission and building support for the project’s objectives.
  • Establish robust quality assurance mechanisms to deliver required services at the highest standards.
  • Conduct thorough and regular assessments to identify opportunities for optimization and take timely corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure implementation of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework that meticulously assesses the impact of project activities.
  • Analyze data precisely and generate insightful reports illuminating key performance indicators and project milestones.
  • Ensure that project achievements, challenges, and impacts are communicated clearly and concisely, demonstrating accountability and transparency to donors.
  • Adhere strictly to established reporting timelines and guidelines, ensuring timely reports are submitted to donors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and contractual obligations associated with donor funding while working closely with legal and compliance teams.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager, contributing to the project's overall success.
Required Qualification
  • Masters Degree, PHD Preferred
  • Public Health/Project Management
Required Experience
  • More then 15 years.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience in orchestrating complex public health projects, with a preference for candidates with a background in immunization programs.
  • Exemplary leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of immunization protocols, public health guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
