Job Description – Electrical Engineer
Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts or components for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts tests, and evaluates results. Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.Responsibilities:
- Creation of the project solution regarding hardware and electrical planning.
- Creation of the specification, planning, and project engineering of the project solution based on standard hardware modules (products) and installed base solution (regards to hardware).
- Responsible for the creation of project-specific documentation (electrical drawing, hardware specification, test specification & system documentation).
- Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts or components for electronic equipment on module and project levels.
- Responsible for creating hardware specifications on module (internal/external) and project level.
- Responsible for creating risk assessment, operation manual, and CE on module and project level.
- Inclusive tools Safexpert and Sistema.
- Responsible for the creation of test specifications on the project level.
- Ensures compliance for all related processes and is the main PoC for systems engineering during projects.
- Ensures compliance in regard of legal technical requirements (machinery directive, low voltage directive).
- Supports systems engineering for traceability metrics and customer requirements during projects.
- Takes care of parts related to electrical engineering.
- Supports installation and commissioning phase in case of problems (remote support).
- Supports systems engineering regarding offers and proposals.
- Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD software (Eplan) from sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineering.
- Creates electrical drawings, part lists, and 3D layouts of electrical components, modules, and project level.
- Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
- Manages CAD software database (Eplan) on module and project level.
- Create parts and components for use within the database, including templates, technical data, numbering, etc.
- Project support for DUT signal-level connection.
- Creation of project solutions integrating electrical/electronic hardware components.
- Creation of project documentation, risk assessment, responsible for system certification.
- Detailed electrical design.
- Creation of EPlan and part list.
- Safety calculation (Safe expert, Sistema).
- Documentation Knowledge of High-Power system functioning, test, and safety rules.
- Experience in High-Frequency switching devices (like Inverters).
- Project support for DUT power level connection.
- On-time preparation of quotations for our customers in the automotive industry, starting with the analysis of customer inquiries up to price calculations.
- Derive functional requirements and assess technical risks from customer specifications for hardware and software.
- Developing concepts together with Business Development, Engineering, and Offering Management.
- Work closely and evaluate proposals from our suppliers and cooperation partners.
- Support technical descriptions for our project proposals.
- Technical presentation to customers and stakeholders.
- Interact with customers, NI staff, external partners, and external suppliers in support of designing, implementing, and sustaining custom test solutions.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Display a high degree of ownership and accountability.

- Strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

- Quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products.
- Knowledge of battery testing applications and EV powertrain testing.
- Knowledge of PAtools is a plus.
- English and Chinese are mandatory.
